YMBA Junior Domestic Competition

YMBA Junior Seasons

YMBA runs two junior domestic seasons per year, comprising of a 10 week season plus 3 weeks of finals:

Season 1 - March to June

Season 2 - August to November

Fees

Juniors - YMBA Fee $100 + $29 BV affiliation fee (*BV insurance is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase) + BA Game Development Levy Fee $5.50 (valid 12 months) + PlayHQ 1.09% processing fee.

Age Grading Groups 

As per YMBA Grading Policy, players will generally play in their age group, but will be graded into a certain Grade ( eg. A Grade, A Reserve, B Grade,U12, etc), according to their ability. This is to enable players to develop and enjoy the game in a group that is at their level and that they are comfortable with. Re-grading of players in teams may occur at the end of week 3 of the season and will be determined by YMBA Officials, Age Group Managers and the Administrator. 

General idea for junior domestic age groups/grading in 2025:

U10's - Born 2016 & 2017

U12's - Born 2014 & 2015 (or B Grade Girls)

U14's - Born 2012 & 2013 (or A Reserve Boys/Girls

U16/18's - Born 2009, 2010 & 2011 (A Grade Boys/Girls)

Players born in 2008 or less are welcome to play in our senior mens or womens competition.

YMBA Night of Play:
Mon - A Res Boys  & A Grade Boys & B Grade Boys.
Tues - U/10 Boys & U/12 Boys
Wed - B Girls  & A Res Girls & A Grade Girls & Womens
Thurs - U/10 Girls (Grade Two/three) & Mens
